Providence St. Joseph Health (PSJH) Southwest Washington Service Area (SWSA) is seeking a board-certified/board-eligible Palliative Care physician medical director to join its interdisciplinary team in beautiful South Puget Sound. This position is a split between clinical care and administrative work. The Palliative Care Regional Medical Director will see patients as part of the interdisciplinary palliative care team and also shares responsibility for strategic planning and programmatic growth with the SWSA Director for Palliative Care. In addition, the medical director provides clinical expertise and support to clinicians within the Southwest Washington Palliative Care services program to improve care for inpatient and ambulatory patients with serious and/or life-threatening illnesses. Full-time clinic position with dedicated time for administrative medical directorship role
Hospice & Palliative Medicine (HPM) fellowship training preferred; HPM certification or eligibility required
Inpatient care will be at Providence St. Peter Hospital (Olympia) and Providence Centralia Hospital (30 minutes south of Olympia)
Outpatient care will be at the clinic (across the street from St. Peter Hospital)
